formatting and fall

Ok, maybe I CAN learn how to use blogger. I think I can, I think I can.....I guess I can write next to a photo, but I still haven't figured out how to put several photos next to each other.

This is a lovely tree just down the hill from my apartment complex. Fall is always beautiful here in Iowa. I have to say, I rarely get the urge to vacation just to see the leaves somewhere else. And today, oh my.......mid sixties, sun, warm breeze, sitting out on my balcony soaking up the rays. The rest of the week looks like rain, but at least we haven't had any snow, unlike, say...Warsaw! Ok, now for another photo...keeping my fingers crossed...hmmm, that is NOT where I attempted to place this photo. The balcony was supposed to be under the text...oooof, now I have two photos next to each other. Ok, ok, I need to go watch the tutorial or go to bed.

Longings

Looked at some old vacation pictures today and wound up longing for the beach and missing my son who is looking at phones here with my sister. The last couple of years have been kind of strange for me...getting a job, losing the job, dealing with health issues and age....just kind of spinning my wheels, but I've had a lot of fun too! I LOVE vacations, and this one with my sis to the east coast in 2007 was awesome!

Almost 4 months later...

well, you know what I said about splitting my life in 2, 2 blogs....yadda yadda yadda....didn't happen. I had a hard time getting comfortable with blogger after using Wordpress for so long, and then I decided to keep A Passion for Green as a semi personal/family/friends blog and start another Wordpress blog for professional stuff. So...what to do with Just Joey?? I would just forget about it, but every time I try to post a comment on someone's blog, it comes from Just Joey, so I feel kind of dumb connecting my comments to a blog that has no content. Maybe it's time for Just Joey to take off and go somewhere. Does any one else have multiple blogs and if so, how do you handle it? This is starting to feel like picking apples. How do you decide on just one?

My sister comes up with the most amazing things to do when you visit her! This time we went to Hummingbird Haven and then a restaurant that had feeders all over the place.

Just Joey

Well, I've finally done it....split my life in two. With my Passion for Green blog over at Wordpress, my goal was to integrate and blog about all aspects of my life, and that was good for a while. But as I get ready to ease my way back into the workforce, I feel a need to create a space away from career things, a space just for me, for just Joey. Not many people would know me by my childhood nick name, but I like it, at least for this place. So here we go...I'm launching my second blog! Woohoo!
